The Magician
As the second card in the Tarot deck, The Magician moves things forward. What The Fool dared to initiate, the Magician manifests. It is numbered 1 (one), the beginning of turning hopes and dreams into reality.
When we encounter The Magician, we are seeing that all our hard work, be it an apprenticeship, a traineeship, or study, is worth it. We are now possessed of all the skills we need to move forward with our plans.
We can rest assured that we can carry out our plans because we are prepared.
The Magician also indicates that our timing is perfect. Being The Magician, he creates serendipity in the moment, helping us pick the right timing, opportunity, or the setting to carry out our plan for the future.
Let us take a closer look at the card. On the table before The Magician are a Cup, a Pentacle, a Sword and a Wand, representing all the elements of the Tarot at his disposal. In one hand, he holds a magic wand pointed towards the sky, and above his head is the infinity symbol.
If we want to embody the qualities of The Magician, we need tomust believe that we have prepared everything we need to take the next step on our journey. In addition, we need to look to the Universe, knowing it will support us. When we look at the magic wand pointed toward the sky, we intend to call on the Universe to help us manifest the place, the time and the substance of our plan, making it real.
The appearance of this card is powerful in giving us the vote of confidence to move forward, knowing that we have done everything we can to prepare for the future.
The Magician may come up in a reading as another person. This person will give us sound advice, inspire our decisions and give us confidence in our own abilities.
The Magician teaches us to own our abilities, see ourselves as capable and believe that the Universe will support us in our endeavours.
